Soy Allergy

Soybeans are in the legume family, like many other beans such as navy beans, kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, lentils, carob, and peanuts.

Soy is considered to be one of the big eight allergens.

Almost all soy is GMO. This means that not only is it dangerous because of the gene manipulation, but also due to it being heavily sprayed with herbicides and pesticides.

Many baby formulas are made with soy. This is the worst food they can get since it not only makes them toxic but also affects the hormones, especially the estrogen hormones.

Soy and soy products are added to many foods, for example as food additives where natural emulsifiers are needed and is almost impossible to avoid.

About half of children with a cow allergy also have a soy allergy.

Soy foods to stay away from are:

  • Edamame
  • Miso
  • Natto
  • Soy sauce and Shoyu sauce
  • Soy fiber, soy flour, soy grits, soy nuts, or soy sprouts
  • Soy milk, soy yogurt, soy ice cream, or soy cheese
  • Soy protein
  • Tamari
  • Tempeh
  • Textured vegetable protein (TVP)
  • Tofu

Since soybeans are from the legume family, people with soy allergy may cross react with peanuts or other legumes and many are allergic to more than one of them.

By the year 2000, over 50% of all soybeans planted in the U.S. were genetically engineered and by now it is at least 93%, probably more. With cross-pollination, there is the question if any soy by now is organic.

It is hard for the body to recognize modified soy products and reactions are quite common.

Soy allergy symptoms may include:

  • Acne and other skin conditions, like eczema
  • Swelling
  • Nasal congestion
  • Asthma
  • Canker sores or fever blisters
  • Colitis and other gastrointestinal problems, including diarrhea
  • Conjunctivitis, or pink eye
  • Fever, fatigue, weakness, and nausea
  • Low blood pressure
  • Itching
  • Hay fever

Soy or soy products are in almost everything! Reading labels is very important!

The Allergy Kit soy allergy vial alleviates soy allergy symptoms. It is the only natural allergy treatment that you can do at home. It reprograms your immune system to respond normally to soy and soy products thus eliminating soy allergy symptoms.

It doesn’t mean that you should eat soy products – after all, they are not meant to be consumed in the quantities they are in the US, but if you happen to have some without knowing it, or if you choose to have a miso soup with a little soy in it, you won’t have an adverse reaction!
